Covered with a thin micro-perforated film on both surfaces, the top film of the product melts during the application to the adjoining heat welded cap sheet while the bottom film dissolves during heat welding to the substrate. Torchflex TF-95-FF-Base can be used as the “lay-flat” base sheet in a layered membrane construction system.

The product is coated top and bottom with select SBS polymers and premium quality asphalt, and has ceramic coated mineral granules embedded in the surface to provide protection against ultraviolet radiation. A light micro-perforated film is bonded to the underside and conveniently disappears upon heat welding. Torchflex TP-250-Cap can be used as a protective cap in either the top ply of a BUR system or a two-ply modified system.
